Rachel + Nicholas

Rachel and Nicholas got married on November 4, 2023 at The Lodge at Richfield Heritage Preserve in Richfield, OH.

Looking back on their special day....

A moment that makes them smile: Walking down the aisle and seeing Nick waiting for me. He was just so nervous and excited that thinking about his smiling face in that moment always makes me smile.

A moment that makes them laugh: To reduce any stress in the weeks leading up to the wedding, my sister (32) joked about giving my brother (23 and a bit taller) a piggy back ride into the reception, which kept everyone laughing. When we lined up to head in to the reception my brother hopped on to my sister’s back and she gave him the joked about piggy back ride for all to witness.

Their favorite moment: There are so many favorite moments because of how much happened and how it broke up into sections. If I had to pick one out I would have to choose the sunset, because it was completely out of our control and unexpected. The sky was beautiful and Justin took us to get some amazing sunset photos. My husband and I got to just be us, together for a moment out of the spotlight, before heading back to our family and friends.

If they had to plan it all over, what they would 100% include again: Just about everything. There isn’t anything I would want to change. There are some things, like the menswear, that I wouldn’t be upset if it changed, but I really like the choices we made. I know I would definitely keep my dress, the amazing food from Karen King’s catering, and Justin as the most organized and relaxed photographer we could have asked for.

Wedding planning tips for other couples: Work as a team to see what is important to both of you. Some people prefer to have one person plan, but when things get stressful it’s helpful to know that it is a day for you both and that neither one of you has to do it alone.
