Elizabeth & Justin - Sun Valley Wedding
Elizabeth & Justin were married on Saturday July 12th at St. Mary’s of Hudson Church in Hudson, Ohio.
A moment that made them smile:
When we saw each other for the first time that day when Elizabeth walked down the aisle. We both just felt so at ease and instantly had the biggest smiles on our faces. Honorable mention to when we saw all of our family and friends as we danced into our reception. (To the tune of Yeah by Usher) so like how could we not.
A moment that made them laugh:
After we cut the cake and Justin licked our cake knife. The laughter was all over my face in the photos once I realized what he was doing.
3. Do you have a favorite moment from that day?
So many! But we loved sitting down to eat and finally enjoy all of our delightful food. (We are true foodies at heart!) Also we loved reading our private vows to each other in the grotto at Saint Mary's. It was so peaceful and so emotional to reflect on our relationship so far and how much love is still ahead.

Something they would 100% include in their wedding plans again:
Our florist/floral design hands down. We were blown away at how beautiful everything turned out and tied our design and colors perfectly together. It was just a dream to see come to life. Bouquets by Becky did a wonderful job! We also loved being able to look back at our photos and videos from the day and to see all the funny and heartfelt moments that happened throughout the day since everything moved in such a blur. Justin and his team were so funny but so professional at the same time and kept us calm and on track. Another thing we loved was the violinist we hired for our wedding mass. The violin along with the organ in Saint Marys brought us all to tears.
Wedding planning tips for future couples:
Be open and communicate! We were so proud of how much we shared and balanced the many decisions that come with the planning process. Justin took charge of things he enjoyed such as the DJ, the catering, and our cake. Also have so much fun with it! For our cake tasting we got two different tasting boxes and shared them with my parents and made it a whole voting process. Having a consistent way to organize everything is going to be key as well. We worked primarily off of a Google Sheet that we kept adding pages to as things progressed. It ended up being about 20 pages! As we got closer we had a master to do list and organized it by month and color coded by each category and who was in charge of doing it. Working together was key to making sure neither of us felt like we were alone. That is generally how we handle things but it really set us up to be successful in our marriage as well. You are a team first and foremost and each of your opinions are honestly the only ones that matter at the end of the day.
Additional Comments:
We think it is important to realize when you might be getting overwhelmed or just facing decision paralysis. If you are able, hire vendors that you can trust that will execute your vision. If feel like you are in over your head, realize that it is okay to take a step back and prioritize what really matters. You'll be getting married to the love of your life and make choices that allow you to focus on that and all the joy that is to come! Love, laughter, and calm were all we felt all day.
