Miriam & Kyle - Tall Oaks Resort Wedding
Miriam and Kyle's Tall Oaks Resort Wedding Day Film
Miriam & Kyle were married at Tall Oaks Resort in Kirtland, Ohio on May 25th, 2025. They planned their wedding here in Ohio, while living in Colorado. Planning a wedding while our of state can be a challenge, but their wedding day went off without a hitch! We asked them to recount some of their favorite wedding day memories and here's what they had to share!
A moment that made them smile:
Spending a few minutes alone with my husband immediately after the ceremony. We recessed down the aisle and went straight to a private gazebo where the staff had set out drinks and appetizers for us. We spent time completely secluded to soak in our marriage, before rejoining cocktail hour and taking family portraits.
A moment that made them laugh:
My bridesmaids "iced" me while getting ready for the day.
A favorite moment from their wedding day:
No favorite- the whole day was incredible. I loved doing our first look, our Jewish ritual traditions, the entire ceremony and celebrating with friends and family at the reception.
Something they would 100% include in their wedding plans again:
All of it! I would include every aspect of what we included in our day. From the beautiful venue, the energetic live band, and incorporating our Jewish heritage, every part was a must have.
Wedding planning tips for future couples:
1. One of the most important aspects of planning is the vendors. Make sure to email, call, and meet with any potential vendors to make sure they are communicative and easy to work with before booking them officially. Their communication style will tell you so much about how they will fit into your day.
2. Budgeting for a wedding is really hard. My advice is to save on things that mean less to you - for me this meant getting a $25 veil from Amazon and $90 shoes since they were inconsequential compared to the wedding dress, and choosing cheaper invitations with online RSVP, instead of paying more for return postage and paper RSVP cards. But I valued having my dream dress and hiring really great vendors, so spent more on these. For example, the photographer is meant to capture the entire day for years to come, so I didn't want to skimp on our choice of photographer and videographer. 3. On the wedding day, get ready earlier than you think you should, to save ample time for photos with your fiancé and bridal party before the ceremony.
4. Don't leave your reception to take pictures or step aside, and don't leave your spouse's side. You will want to have been on the dance floor and with your friends and family every minute, and create the same memories as your new spouse!
