The day began at the newly renovated  BLU-tique hotel in Akron, Ohio. This was a gorgeous historic modern classic style hotel located right in the heart of downtown Akron. We very much enjoyed their open back patio space where we were able to capture some really great first look shots.
Â
Lisa & Mitchell had a very traditional and elegant ceremony at Prince of Peace Parish in Barberton, Ohio. The church had great lighting and a really beautiful large stain glass window where we were able to capture some very stunning shots of the couple after the ceremony.
Â
After the ceremony, we then travelled to The Greystone Wedding Venue in Wooster, Ohio. We were blown away by the modern elegance of their dining hall / reception area. The split staircase and large chandelier in the Grand Lobby were dazzling. It very much felt like being on set for The Great Gatsby.
Also, the tall ceilings allowed for all sorts of lighting, while not feeling like we were crowding anyone with our equipment.Â
Some of our favorite portrait spots from this wedding included:
The main dining hall due to the modern classic design and stage
The fully furnished groom's lounge with a good view of the city.
The private bridal suite for more secluded couples photos
The reception was lively as the night went on. We were touched by the speeches of the bride & groom's friends and family.Â
A fun moment was when the bride brought out cardboard cutouts of the groom's head that people could play and pose with. It's the little personal touches to a wedding that we feel really stand out.
