Lilly and Ben got married on September 10, 2022 in Akron, OH at Stan Hywet Hall. 

It was a beautiful day filled with extra special touches. For one, Stan Hywet is where Lilly’s parents got married in 1993. Another was the flowers. Lilly’s great aunt worked as a florist before she retired and spent nearly 6 hours (with the help of her cousins, grandma, and aunts) the day of the wedding making arrangements out of the flowers to place as centerpieces and decorations for the various tables throughout the reception. Lilly and Ben still get compliments on how beautiful the table settings looked, all thanks to the hard work of their family. Some of the best moments throughout the day according to Lilly & Ben:

A moment that makes Lilly smile: When her and Ben took their seats at the reception. It was the first time the two of them had a couple of seconds to talk to just one another while everyone was starting to eat. They really got a chance to appreciate that they were now husband and wife after nearly 11 years together.

A moment that makes Lilly laugh: All morning Lilly was having issues keeping her veil in her hair. It was enormously long and is her grandmother's veil that multiple members of her family have worn on their wedding day so just removing the veil was not an option! The wind was picking up slightly and just as all the bridesmaids and groomsmen were lining up her little brother Carter thought to take off his tie clip and shove it into Lilly’s hair to clip the veil into place. Lilly can’t help but laugh every time she thinks about Carter and the light bulb going off in his head to keep her veil in place.

Ben’s favorite moment from the day: Their first look. It was a peaceful and special moment for the couple.

Lilly’s favorite moment from the day: Their first dance. She had so much fun sharing their first dance together as a married couple.
