Danielle & Beau - Standingrock Farms Wedding

Danielle & Beau were married on Saturday September 6th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Medina, Ohio. Their reception was at Standingrock Farms in Madison, OH.

We enjoyed shooting at Standinrock Farms due to its wide variety of scenic locations. We very much enjoyed the sunflower patch that allowed for some pretty late Summer, early Fall, photos.

Getting Ready at Standingrock Farms:

Danielle & Beau were giddy in their respective suites (both on-location at the venue) as their friends and family chatted and helped them get ready for their wedding ceremony. We very much appreciated balcony between the two suites where we were able to get a few unique first look photos.

The Ceremony at Standingrock Farms:

The ceremony was held in the Ceremony Barn. It was well-lit and had high, open, ceilings which really opened up the space and helped for photos. Once the ceremony was over, we were able to exit right near a pen of cattle. It was a fun moment capturing Beau & Danielle petting the cows.

Some of our favorite portrait spots from this wedding included:

  • The woods near the bride & groom suits that had enough spacing between the trees to feel intimate, but allow for bigger group shots.

  • The rope swing big enough for couples to sit on together. It had a very rustic charm.

  • The sunflower patch located in the front of the farm venue.

The Reception Celebration at Standingrock Farms:

Danielle & Beau's reception was held in the Flower Farm Dance Hall. The space felt intimate yet spacious, with a rustic, timeless, charm.

One moment that stood out for us was when Danielle & Beau had their first dance. Its these special moments we often look out for when capturing weddings.

Feedback from the Bride:

1. Looking back on your wedding day, what is one moment that makes you smile?
Looking out into the crowd during our ceremony and seeing all of our favorite people gathered together to celebrate with us.

2. What was a moment that made you laugh?
When we read our vows to each other for the first time, we both unknowingly referenced Beau's personality to a Golden Retriever

3. Do you have a favorite moment from that day?
Our favorite moment was when Justin snuck us out of the reception to take some amazing sunset photos!

4. If you had to plan your wedding again, what would you 100% include again?
We would 100% include doing a first look again so that we could enjoy our cocktail hour with our friends and family.

5. Any wedding planning tips for future couples?
Make sure you have a great DJ! We loved meeting with ours multiple times before the wedding to make sure he knew exactly what our vibe was. Our dance floor was POPPING the entire night.

6. Anything else you would like to be mentioned in the blog post?
Not just trying to brag about you guys, but we are both so grateful for Justin and his team for capturing every beautiful and crucial moment of the day! Justin truly encapsulated everything we wanted and exactly how we wanted. It was so good that we even had our pictures featured on the cover of our venue's wedding brochure and website!! If that doesn't speak for itself, we don't know what does! Thank you again for everything Justin!
