5 Wedding Day Must Haves

It’s coming down to the wire! Your wedding day is almost here. Do you have everything you need? Are you forgetting anything important for the day of? The last thing you want to do is get to your venue and realize you forgot something crucial to your day! Here are 5 things that are absolute MUST HAVES on your wedding day.

  1. Snacks and Water

You’re no doubt going to be full of nerves and excitement on your wedding day. It’s very possible you’ll be a little scatterbrained and forget some things. Definitely do not forget to eat and drink plenty of water in the morning/afternoon. Dehydrated and hungry is definitely not how you want to spend your wedding day! Make it a point to eat something and drink a water bottle or two (and use the bathroom) before you get into your dress. You’ll feel so much better throughout the day!

  1. Your Favorite Tunes

The week before your big day, spend a couple hours putting together a wedding day playlist! Bring a small (or large if you rock out like that) speaker with you so you and your girls can jam to some of your favorite tunes before the ceremony. Set the mood for the day by blasting some music to get you hyped up or help ease your nerves. Don’t forget to bring a charger for the speaker too! We all know how much of a vibe killer a dead speaker is. And on that note, don’t forget a phone charger either!

  1. An emergency kit

No, I don’t mean a first aid kit (although that’s not a bad idea either). I mean a small bag of things you MIGHT need. Doing some drinking the night before? Make sure to pack Advil. Forget to shave because of the craziness? Toss a razor and band-aids in there! Spilled some wine, coffee or mascara on your dress? (yes, I’ve seen this happen) A Tide to Go pen is going to be your new best friend. Here’s a few other things to consider packing in your emergency kit: deodorant, bobby pins, chapstick, antacid, and let’s not forget the wine bottle opener!

  1. Comfy Shoes

Nobody wants to spend an entire day in heels or dress shoes if they don’t have to. Pack some flip flops, Crocs, or tennis shoes so that when it’s time for the reception you can take off your heels and get ready to party! It’s your day, wear whatever you want!

  1. Your coffee, tea or energy drink

This is definitely at the top of my personal list! If you don’t know me super well, I basically can’t operate without at least one cup of coffee in my system and I know a number of other people who need their iced coffee or chai tea to get the day started. Send someone on a Starbucks run while you get your hair and make up done or keep the Keurig flowin’!

Most of all, have fun! Your wedding day can be super stressful, but just know that no matter what happens, you will remember how perfect the day was. Enjoy the time with your family, friends, and the love of your life. It goes by fast, so be present, laugh often, and enjoy!
